Happy April Beech Grove family!
He is risen! He is risen indeed!
Easter is not just a day on the calendar; it is the very heartbeat of who we are. Resurrection reminds us that God is always bringing life out of what looked finished, hope out of what felt lost, and joy out of what seemed buried. And friends… you can feel it right now, can’t you?
Spring is preaching its own little sermon all around us. The grass is growing, flowers are starting to peek up through the soil, and the birds are singing like they have got good news to share (I have seen plenty of robins doing their part!). Just the other day I watched twin calves chasing each other across a field and around their momma with pure joy, no hesitation. Creation itself is waking up and declaring life wins.
Honestly… it feels like we are waking up too. Heavy coats are getting hung back in the closet. Windows are opening. Spirits are lifting. Joy is in the air. And church family, the Church is alive!
This season feels especially meaningful for me personally as well. I am one step closer to graduation and being commissioned as a Provisional Elder at Annual Conference, and I am so grateful to be walking this road with you. You have played a part in shaping me, encouraging me, and reminding me of my call when I needed it most. Thank you for being my church!
Now, let us be real for just a second—because April also brings… taxes. April 15 used to be the day my friends and family saw me for the first time since Christmas! 😅 But even in the middle of deadlines and responsibilities, resurrection still shows up. Even in the ordinary (and slightly stressful) times, God is still at work bringing new life.
Because resurrection people do not just celebrate life…
we live it, we share it, and we run toward it.
With joy (and maybe a little less paperwork now),
Pastor Caroline 💛
